United Nations Interfaith Prayer Service

WHEN: September 12th, 2006 at 8:15am-9:30am
WHERE: St. Bartholomew's Church, on Park Avenue at 51st Street Manhattan, New York City
We cordially invite you our 10th Prayer Service to mark the occasion of the opening of the 61st General Assembly of the United Nations.
FORMAT: This event will be similar to those of past years, with leaders of about thirty different faiths from around the world offering prayers from their traditions for the work of the General Assembly.
We are hopeful that you will add your presence to this occasion, and, by doing so, enhance the solemnity with which we call for blessings on the upcoming session of the General Assembly.
Secretary General Kofi Annan has agreed to join us again this year, as he usually does.
Additionally, the incoming President of the General Assembly normally participates.
