"The objective of the organization We, The World is to facilitate cooperation on a global scale amongst groups and individuals dedicated to implementing solutions to the many challenges we face on the planet at this time. We, The World wishes to inspire, inform and involve more and more people in these solutions to bring about large scale change.

The world will not resolve conflict and war or the destruction of it's environment until we stop grabbing huge benefits for the few at the expense of sustainable benefits for all.

We are created for interdependence. You have gifts that I don't have and I have gifts that you don't have. This is true on a personal level and at a global level. We are created for sharing, for caring, for laughter, for love - for celebrating our wonderful diversity as members of one family, the human family, God's family. God bless you."

This 11 Days global promotion of peace and sustainability was designed to maximize public awareness about humanity's major challenges and encourage involvement in the solutions.

11 Days was sponsored by We, The World in association with Transitioners, Good News Broadcast, Pathways to Peace, A Single Drop/A Million Voice Choir, and many other partner organizations including Amnesty International, the Jane Goodall Institute/Roots & Shoots, Federation of World Peace and Love, World Federalist Association NY/Citizens for Global Solutions NY, the Earth Charter Initiative, and the Dept. of Peace Initiative. In September 2002 We, The World launched Interdependence Day at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development. In 2004 Interdependence Day activities took place in New York City, Phoenix, Rome and other areas of the world. This annual festival celebrates the interconnectedness of all life and the recognition of that interconnectedness.

The 2004 NY Interdependence Day Festival featured speakers, performers and workshop presentations including keynote speaker Robert Knight (WBAI/Pacifica Radio News Analyst and Host of Earth Watch), Amnesty International, Brooklyn Womens Chorus, Jane Goodall Institute's Roots & Shoots Youth Program, Kymbali, the Foundation for Ethics and Meaning, Federation of World Peace and Love, Kayhan Irani/Theater of the Oppressed, Global Unity Through Interfaith Dialogue, NY Council for Nonviolent Communication, Sunshine Eagle, Valerie Ghent, Earth Charter Initiative, Jubilee & Chocolate Thai, Raquy & the Cavemen - Middle Eastern Drumming Group, SOS Food, Consumers Union, Danny Schechter Film Screening, Town Hall Wall, and others.

• Satellite, web streaming, and other media distribution of 11 Days events. We are looking into creating a PBS Special of the closing event with Dr. Jane Goodall, Marianne Williamson, A Million Voices - One Peace, Amnesty International and others.
• Web streaming and other media distribution of content beyond 11 Days from organization partners/members of the GRN and visionary speakers (like Neale Donald Walsch) working for a better world,
• Collaborations and networking between cause-based organizations, socially conscious companies and individuals (via the GRN),
• Periodic high visibility international events (PIEs) to focus public involvement and action.
