A major obstacle to societal transformation in the direction of peace and
sustainability is that there is no system for widely disseminating accurate,
complete and creatively packaged information about issues that affect us all.
Those of us who want to see societal priorities redirected for a better
world can help fill this gap and Connect The Dots
in our own circles and beyond.
In the United States, more than 70% of people get their information primarily
from commercial TV. As Danny Schechter (Mediachannel.org) says, "The More
You Watch the Less You Know." To disarm what he calls these "Weapons of Mass
Distraction", let's follow Amy Goodman's suggestion above and Be The Media!
