Dear Rick:

I wish to convey my deepest appreciation for the valuable assistance you
provided to us during our recent symposium in conference room 4 at the
United Nations. We are grateful for your commitment of time, interest, and
concern for the important issue of children in armed conflict. May your
commitment to serve worthy causes continue to the benefit of many.

Messages Regarding We, The World's Student-UN Videoconference Series
Building Peace and Security in the 21st Century

linking the U.N. with young people and featured speakers from around the world

Rick,
I watched the webcast. I am so proud and happy that you and your people brought that about. What an important and significant accomplishment. Thank you.
I belong to several groups I believe will be interested in seeing a tape of the program, and I will be checking the We the World website for how to obtaining a couple copies. The descriptions given of tangible ways to work for peace will offer so many people hope that a world of peace is actually a possibility. This is greatly needed to counter the despair and feelings of hopelessness/helplessness that many people are feeling and expressing given the current political situation.

Again, thank you.
Beverly Stern (from Hamden, CT)

dear rick,
congratulations! if there is such a thing as a "coup" for peace (with which phrase i suspect you'd take issue), this was surely it! i know to a small degree the months, weeks, days, hours, phone calls, phone conferences, missed meals and missed sleep you devoted to this amazing product. so many components - places, people, technical equipment, logistics to coordinate and unite in one small yet large moment in time. congratulations, too, to the multitude of people, both before and behind the cameras and mikes, who took this action with you. i hope you and they take pride in this remarkable, groundbreaking achievement. as i see it, only by changing hearts and minds can behavior (possibly) be changed, and only through communication can hearts and minds (possibly) be changed. thank you for the effort; thank you for taking that step.
looking forward to your follow-ups,
barbara hunter (Board member, We, The World)

Dear Rick Ulfik,

It is wonderful to hear good news for a change, from the doers. It is dawning on me that there exist an enormous really enormous spontaneous uncentralized practical peace and justice effort worldwide based on the economic fundamentals of social justice. It certainly is challenging the perverse and evil dominants of the moment. Perhaps sometime soon it can start diminishing and isolating them. I really do think something big and good can happen. There's too much energy for it to be contained.

Critical to the progress of this is breaking through the groupthink and the media barriers that keep this new spirit from getting out and penetrating our public despair and depression and the resulting stupor.

Thanks so much for this.
Yours, Tom Blandy

Messages after the launch of 11 Days of Global Unity

Congratulations for the success to celebrate the UN International Day of Peace...We saw the program via webcasting [from Taiwan], and were really impressive...We did not catch the signal from the beginning, and missed the opening...It was great!...Expect your video to see the whole program...Best,
Jilly Tsai/Dr. Hong's office, Federation of World Peace and Love

What an honor to have worked with you all! I've heard nothing but accolades and notes of inspiration! It's quite a testament not only to our hard work, but to our pure intent and devotion to peace! It was truly a beautiful night of inspiration and healing! I am still flying after all the events leading up to September 21st and the "RISING"! I could definitely feel the energy of voices all around the world singing "WE RISE". This year was a wonderful beginning to this ongoing movement! This was the first drop of many a rainfall of peaceful voices to sing together annually, and on other special auspicious days! We are going to be compiling a list of Partners of Peaceful Voices, and we are truly honored to have WE THE WORLD on the top of our evergrowing list! I am honored to be of service to you in any way that I can! You all hold a very special part of my heart and I look forward to our future work together!! In peace

Thank you all for sharing with me your vision and commitment to peace in this "culminating event" of 11 days.  11 Days!?  That's just not long enough--let's take the whole year! Just a few months ago I said to myself, I need to volunteer for something NOW. I could never have imagined that I would get to meet luminaries like Jane and Marianne and make a gaggle of new friends like all of you. It was truly cumulous, cruciferous, creatively chaotic and quite the crest of a wave...In the meantime let's keep playing in the light and increasing the consciousness and connectivity of being   in peace,
Jules Cazedessus (Publicist, 11 Days of Global Unity volunteer)

It is reassuring to know that your powerful voice is being heard especially in the run up to the election. Every good wish

I just wanted to thank you again...for being a part of Tuesdayıs event [Sept 21st]. It was great to be there and be in communication with so many passionate people...the event itself seemed very full of passion and purpose. Please stay in touch, especially about any future events... All the best,
Hope Cohen (Publicity and Media Relations, What Is Enlightenment? Magazine)

I learned of your wonderful, historic campaign while attending the "Our Voices, Our World" event hosted by We, The World, which was truly inspirational.  The words and wisdom of visionaries like Marianne Williamson, Clarence Jones, Dr. Jane Goodall, and the collective energy of every person in the room was confirmation that peace truly is possible.  I can't tell you how excited I am about this movement, whose time has certainly come.  I am behind this effort 100%, and look forward to doing whatever I can to support it...Best wishes,"
Lauren Price

I would like to congratulate you on a fantastic event at the Avalon and thanks for inviting me to be part of such an unforgettable experience...Please let me know what the plans are for 2005. Regards, Yours in Peace!
His Royal Highness Prince Frederick von Saxe-Lauenberg

What a wonderful time everyone had observing The International Day of Peace with you last night!  Your efforts and collaborations really added substance and fun to the Day.  Your outreach was most impressive and did a great deal to expand the observation. Thank you very much. ...GREAT JOB TO YOU AND ALL YOUR TEAM. MAY PEACE PREVAIL ON EARTH,
Monica Willard (UN NGO Committee for the International Day of Peace)

The full service PR and talent agency begun in 2002, The Blueshift Group, lends its support to an organization called We The World... NYC-based We The World Founder, Rick Ulfik, and his team of coordinating organizations and individuals...in order to expand exposure for the world-wide event entitled "11 Days of Global Unity", culminating on September 21, 2004. I was convinced of the need to approach an expanded audience with the mission of We The World so that more people can consider, and act upon, the issues the world faces as related to human rights, social justice, and environmental sustainability. I am just beginning to understand the positive meaning of ³interdependency² on a personal level and wish to do my part in further exploring its implications in the company of others.
Regina Tillman (Blueshift Group owner)

I am so proud to have had the opportunity to work with you all, congrats to everyone.  what an honor.  Thanks again.

What an overwhelming array, Rick. Great job collecting these events and announcing them far and wide.
Walter Beebe (Co-Founder of the New York Open Center)

Blessings for your rare work in the world.

I want to acknowledge your outstanding work...Thanks for your dedication and persistence in bringing us to this time of imminent success. With admiration and appreciation and love,
Alan Schogel (Energy Conservation Consultant, We, The World Board Member)

The event felt like one of those major global punctuation points... it is interesting that the first and last event of 11 Days both had feedback walls, unbeknownst to each other, Since the 11 Days is part of the TownHallWall.Org Welcome Page, how fitting to inaugurate the Community Pages with those two events, and the summaries of people's minds and hearts as expressed on those Walls. Tues night seemed to crescendo to a high...I used to feel that energy on the 10th day of 10 day yoga retreats. Seed days. Now the budding begins. I felt that global communion at the Hague Appeal Peace Conference in 1999...And by the end of Tues evening too, it felt like being in the reality of a broadband of global-community-high-consciousness. The momentum is unstoppable, don't you think? Namaste

Dear Rick,

Riane Eisler has suggested that Barclay Palmer and I join We, The World on
behalf of the Center for Partnership Studies (CPS). Barclay, a CPS Board
member, tells me that he is signing up with your group. Count me in too.

In encouraging us to join WTW, Riane emails "it is time for such an
organization, one that unites and amplifies our voices." Couldn't agree
more! We commend you for getting this critical initiative under way.

Soooo, add us to your list of advocates!

We will learn more about We, the World and spread the word to our various
networks. We are involved in other initiatves that might be helpful to WTW,
as well as be strengthened by participation in WTW.

Expect a phone call from Barclay Palmer and/or Bill Levis to get acquainted
and see how else we can help. I, myself, would like to discuss the
"volunteers are needed" statement in your email to Riane.

Bill Levis

Hi Rick!!

A year of continued contribution, satisfaction from your contributions,
recognition and acknowledgement (as they would serve your mission), even
more heightened vision, camaraderie, connection, enjoyment and success! (I
never put success but since, in your case, success would mean world peace, I
wish it most vehemently.

I would like especially to appreciate the patience you demonstrate regularly
in our relationship, your relating to the best in me as though that were the
authentic me and always summonable if addressed (true and true); your
unscientificness in remaining optimistic in face of knowing many details of
evidence that would seem to make that impossible; your ever-ready humor and
sparkle -- damn! you make saving the world fun!

Much much love,

Rick-

Thanks so much for the detailed report. It's very helpful to know what has
been taking place and I commend you for the hard and necessary work you have
been doing. You said 'perhaps its not a great report..' Hogwash! (my
Midwest farm boy past keeps surfacing!) It's an excellent report. Give yourself much credit for being both a dreamer and a doer. It's a rare and wonderful thing.

Dear Rick,

Just a note of thanks for your keeping in touch via e-mail. I often think of the truly inspiring meeting we shared in May. It is a joy to know that you, Rick, are "out there" working with dedication and inspiration for the creation of a new world.
